Canada: Bilingual
political map, including Nunavut
 |
Published to recognize
Canada's new political boundaries with the creation of Nunavut. In addition,
the map also shows the location and name of each of the National Parks, and
gives details on the twelve World Heritage Sites found in Canada. It shows an
extensive set of populated places, each being shown with its name and status as
of 1998, and with population updated to the 1996 Census. The same applies to
the many places in the inset maps used for the four largest metropolitan areas.
Finally, the map shows Canada's limits - both the international boundaries as
well as the boundary delineating Canada's 200 mile fishing limit (also known as
the Exclusive Economic Zone). Published 2004. 36" x 42.8" or 91.5 cm x
108.7 cm 1:6,000,000 MCR0102 $10.75 |
Canada Wall Map
(Bilingual)
 |
This large wall map
emphasizes, with colour, the provinces and territories. Their boundaries are
current to April 1, 1999. In addition, both the international boundaries and
the boundary delineating Canada's 200-mile fishing limit are shown. The map's
projection, a vertical near-side perspective, provides an interesting
three-dimensional view of Canada. It effectively shows Canada's geographic
relationship with other nations of the Northern Hemisphere. A digital relief
shading was used to show the physiography of the country. The map depicts the
location and name of each of Canada's National Parks as well as the names of
physical features. Also shown is a large selection of populated places.

 |
This map shows Canada's
relief in a Vertical Near-Side Perspective Projection at a scale of 1:6 000

relationship with other nations in the Northern Hemisphere may also be
observed. Also included, are three inset maps (Physiographic Regions, Drainage
Basins, and Vegetation Cover) at a scale of 1:30 000 000, providing additional
information on Canadian land cover. Other features depicted on the map are
Canada's 38 existing National Parks, and for reference purposes a selection of
populated places and major Canadian transportation routes are shown. Major
physical features including mountain ranges, peaks, and spot elevations are
identified. Published 1998. 36" x 42.8" or 91.5 cm x 108.7 cm
